To Venture without Faith is Risky!

Matthew 17:20 ~ “If you have Faith as small as a mustard seed… Nothing will be impossible for you.”

I’ve never been one to turn away from a challenge… You should see my resume! I’ve owned two restaurants, driven a big rig over the road, had a new construction cleaning/cleanup business, was in the film industry for 10 years working as a casting director, acting coach and motivational speaker, had a courier business, and a handy-ma’am service, just to name a few of the many experiences that have molded me into the person I am today…

My motto: “How hard could it be?…”

As I stepped into each opportunity with that mentality, I found the actual experience to that question, in most cases, to be quite challenging to say the least! Nothing ever seems to materialize the way the “vision” initially starts… However, as I look back on every adventure, God was intentionally setting me up for the greatest challenge of my life… a life in Full-Time Ministry!

“No matter who you are, life has its twists and turns.

And the difference isn’t what’s handed to you;

the difference is what you do with what’s handed to you.”

Girl with Arms Stretched Out

And as exciting and adventurous as all of that sounds, the truth is that through it all, where I have known victory, I have also known defeat.  Where I have been accepted and cheered, I have also known rejection.  Where I have known love, I have also experienced the worst kind of betrayal.  Where I have walked closely with my Heavenly Father, I have also been viciously deceived and attacked by the enemy, not to mention walked in deception and caused pain to others.  But also through it all, I am still here, I have learned many lessons necessary to move forward and to help others.

And I have every intention of allowing God to use it all for His Glory.

2 Corinthians 4: 8-9   “We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair.  We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned.

We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”  The Voice

Just before this newest “MyFaithVentures” started, the Spirit of God whispered to my spirit, “I have called you to be a ‘Life Application Teacher’ and I want to use your life as the application”…

So here I am, Lord… Use me!

This Blog is intended to share how God shows up in our lives, through personal encounters, in order to express His Everlasting and Personal Love for each of us. It is intended to clarify misnomers of what and who we have perceived God to be and to help each of you experience a truly personal encounter with the God of the Universe and to know that, without a doubt, He loves you more than you could ever imagine!

I have invited two precious Sister in The Lord, Arloa Dolphin and Maggie Sabatier-Smith, to join me in sharing each of our personal “Faith Ventures” so that we can assist in helping you to be encouraged, educated and equipped to walk in your own “Faith Venture”! (We all have one or two or MANY, you know!)

I pray that, as we go along and share our personal stories with you, you will find The Father’s Love reaching out to you, hearing Him say,    “Come! Let’s go on an Adventure in Faith together!”
